Assistant Store Manager (ZARA/STRADIVARIUS)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promote and monitor quality service among staff through training and by acting as a positive role model
• Maintain employee attitude and morale by recognizing outstanding performance and service
• Working with the Store Manager to meet the long range retail and company objectives
• Responsible for work schedules, break periods, work hours and vacations.
• Provide the Store Manager with a weekly update on the progress of the store and staff
• Ensure proper store image.
• Responsible for the operation of the store, such as inventory control and maintenance in the absence of the Store Manager
• Responsible for addressing customer grievances and inquiries.
• Ensure store security
• Evaluate staff performance and development needs.
• Delegate responsibilities between the staff

Internal Auditor

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Regular visit to the stores all over UAE and GCC (as required) to conduct audits, at least once every month/ more times as required.
• Draft and review the Loss Prevention and any other relevant process and procedure.
• Check whether daily cash is banked as per Company Policy
• Verify foreign currency received during sale is properly accounted and banked
• Perform spot till check
• Ensuring that petty cash and extra cash float is handled properly and monitor usage and recording of petty cash float
• Identify the reason for using manual billing if any and the details of Void, return, refund, staff discount, other discount – whether they are as per policy and how it’s handled by store.
• Ensure that the Company gift voucher (saleable & others) and mall gift voucher are properly accounted, the amount due from mall management and check for timely submission of the same.
• Check the usage of non-stock items received from the supplier.
• Verify if recording of staff attendance, days in lieu, submission of rejoining report/passport to office are done as per the company policy and highlight variances between staff Rota and the attendance
• Audit of store keys and who is responsible to handle the keys in store.
• Check whether the security system/ alarm is working properly • Audit payments and receivables such as mall gift vouchers, credit card payments, foreign supplier payments etc.
• Overview the P&L and Bank reconciliations
• Conduct period audit of staff discounts and attendance
• Provide prompt and professional investigation service to the Company in relation to theft, malpractice and fraud and provide reports to the management.
• Manage the Loss Prevention training for stores
• Manage to survey stores, including pre-opening and all Company premises to identify and categorize risks, levels of risk and actions required

Merchandising Intern

RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to the following:

• Provide meaningful reports to the management on stock holding, margins, weeks cover etc
• Assist in processing reports from the system
• Produce stock list for the municipality during sale/promotion periods
• Monitor movement of worst sellers to the fast selling shops.
• Ensure that stores are keeping the correct stock levels at all times.
• Consolidate stock between stores and liaise with warehouse to arrange pick-up and Inventory department for stock updating in the system.
• Consolidate best sellers to appropriate stores and arrange top-ups on best sellers to maximise sales

Store Manager - (ZARA / STRADIVARIUS)

• Actively drive sales by implementing sales building initiatives across the three departments(Women, Men and Kids)  through effective analysis of the company commercial reports and visual layout.
• Support the Department Managers to keep monitoring the budget. Ensure the profit and productivity goals are met by contributing towards the management of payroll hours, sales and P&L.
• Determine the strategy of the store, always striving to maximise sales and Store opportunities.
• Supervise managers for controlling and managing stock, product rotation, orders and devolutions alongside the product manager in Spain.
• Up to date knowledge about current industry trends and to constantly analyse the competitor’s  product and market in order to be able to maximise sales.
• Manage and maintain the relationship and communication with Product Departments in the Central Office in Spain.
• Promote participatory management style and ensure a positive working environment exists within all the departments in the store.
• Provide input to companywide projects to ensure Zara UK is able to constantly improve performance.
• To work with HR in order to create and have actions plans in place for succession in the three departments.
• Identify potential talent for the three departments, also being aware about vacancies an opportunities in other stores.
• Ensure a high level of customer service standards are consistently attained in the store in the three departments
• Ensure the store is compliant with all company initiatives.
• Lead by example to perpetuate the Zara UK culture.
